World Mathematics Day was held last week and
students from Hornsby North participated in the day. Students in
5/6B were
particularly keen and competitive. At the end
of the day (in Australia) Henry (pictured below) was in first place
in the world and 5/6B was 9th in Australia and 26th in the World.
When the European countries woke up the students were challenged,
but by the end of the competition 5/6B answered 60,340 questions
correctly with high performances from Henry, Adrian, Kieran, Ellie,
Aerin, Nikhil, Jason, Siamack and Steven (6S).
