Hornsby North Public School does it
again!
Congratulations to all at Hornsby North
Public School. Undoubtedly the most successful fair to date, Hornsby
North did not disappoint, and kept to their promise of keeping all
ages entertained. No-one would have thought we were in the midst of
hard economic times. They certainly put on a show, and this was made
obvious that it was put together by true professionals!
The gorgeous kindies sang, followed by
Hornsby North’s bands, who not only played well with only seven
lessons so far under their belt, but showed true musicianship. This
was then followed by the songbirds of the school, the choir, who
sang a wonderful medley of ‘Dancing in the Street, I’ll be there and
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ with real gusto!
Then there was the ‘Sumpton Art
Competition’, which seemed to make so many people speechless. Local
MP, Mrs Judy Hopwood was at the fair for most of the day, enjoying
our school and presented the art awards.
Not only were there the rides and show
bags, but some of the stalls included jewellery, hand bags,
Devonshire tea, activity centre for the little ones, craft, an
animal farm, the good old fashioned lucky dip, chocolate wheel,
(which was a real hit), and of course food, and left everyone
entertained. I didn’t hear the word bored from my kids, once.
If anyone thinks that Australia lacks
good quality education and talent, in a great and happy
environment…..think again.
Well done Hornsby North, you did it
again!
