Hornsby North, Swinging it with the Best!
Hornsby
North Public School Concert Band 1 accepted the invitation to
perform at last Saturday’s fundraiser event held at Asquith Boys
High School, which was in support of the ‘Royal Flying Doctors
Service’.
While
the main event featured ‘John Morrison’s Swing City’, the children
from Hornsby North band showed outstanding musicianship as they
opened the evening and supported the Asquith Boys High School Stage
Band.
While
the average age of each child is only 11 years old, you certainly
wouldn’t have thought this to be the case by purely listening to the
sound these young ones created. They showed talent far greater than
their years, and this can only be attributed to Hornsby North Public
Schools Concert Band 1 conductor, Ms Jenny Binovec.
